Friday Night Dinner


We had dinner at El Girasol tonight. The chips and dips are always my favorite! The Corona isn't bad either


Guacamole Dip
2 Haas Avocados
1 can Rotel, drained (we use the hot)
1 clove Garlic chopped finely
1 tbs finely chopped cilantro
1 tbs fresh lime juice
Lawry's Garlic Salt to taste

Mix all ingredients together except for Garlic Salt.  Let sit for two hours so the flavors can combine.  Add Garlic Salt to taste and enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips!

Cheese Dip
1 - 5 lb block of Velveeta
2 cans Rotel - 1 hot and 1 lime and cilantro
2 cups cream (heavy whipping cream works great)

Warm over low heat or in a double boiler until melted together and creamy.  Serve with tortilla chips!
