Lynches Pub & Grub caught our attention for lunch one sunny afternoon while we were prowling around Sarasota, Florida.  We were extremely pleased to find they had Guinness Beer on Draft.  The beer was cold and the food was excellent!  I ordered the Fish & Chips and hubby had the Danny Boy.  You can check out their menu here.

Anytime you visit Sarasota you really should plan a stop by this wonderful Pub! Be sure to ask about their sign on the wall thats missing a piece of wood   It has in interesting history.

        

Tarpon Springs, Florida is one of my favorite places to visit and whenever we are there we stop by Hella's Restaurant for their Gyro.  I highly recommend anything on their menu!

Visit TripTheLady for more on our visit. This is my favorite recipe for tzatziki sauce that makes any Gyro complete.

INGREDIENTS

• 2 cups plain yogurt
• 3 cloves crushed garlic
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
• 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint leaves
• 1 large cucumber - peeled, seeded and shredded

DIRECTIONS

Using cheese cloth, strain the yogurt over a bowl overnight.  Press excess liquid out of the shredded cucumber. In a medium bowl, stir together the cucumber and strained yogurt. Mix in the garlic, salt, pepper and mint. Chill the mixture for 4 to 6 hours or overnight.Perfect on top of any gyro or as a dip for chips and veggies.

        

1 oz Bourbon
Pink Lemonade

Fill a glass with ice.  Add Bourbon and fill with Pink Lemonade.

Refreshing drink for any hot summer afternoon!  Make a pitcher and take out by the pool to share with friends!

Pitcher:
1 pint Bourbon
1 Gallon Pink Lemonade

Pour into glasses of ice.  Adding ice to your lemonade will only water it down in these hot summer days

Mayonnaise is the traditional condiment used."

Mine wasn't toasted but served on small rolls  like a KFC Snacker and was wonderful.  Peppered bacon and the  tomatoes were from the Farmer's Market - FRESH!

Just Finished Watching:  Reign Over Me

What a great movie!  I laughed, i cried, I remembered 9/11, I cried, I empathized......  Adam Sandler is outstanding in his role and I was amazed at his seriousness.  ,I can't imagine anybody else playing that character better.  If you haven't watched this movie I highly recommend it.  Yes, it could be considered a chick flick but the guys do play video games so I guess that could make it a guy flick too

Without any notice, Dish HD subscribers had stolen lost 15 channels because Dish Network decided it's paying subscribers didn't watch them enough.  Did Dish ask any of it's subscribers?  They didn't ask me and apparently many others are just as upset and highly irritated to have lost Monsters HD. 


So, in protest, I have been calling the Dish Network support line at 800-333-3474 and asking if there's any news on when I would be getting my VOOM channels back.  I also emailed the CEO and complained.  If you would like to email the CEO of Dish Network you can reach him at:

Personally, I think if I complain enough Dish will do something - if not they will lose me as a customer.
